Single Bullet battles on after getting shoe caught in his tail
Jan 29, 2018
A HORSE throwing a shoe isn’t uncommon, but Single Bullet produced a “racing first” at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday in the Wilkes Quality.
Racing NSW chief steward Marc Van Gestel said he couldn’t believe a horse could throw a shoe mid-race which then ended up in its tail. And it remained their the whole race.
His jockey was equally amazed.
I’ve never seen that before,” Tye Angland said.
Trainer Gary Portelli said Single Bullet had a knack of throwing a shoe but even he was left shaking his head at the odd occurrence.
